Once you have identified that an issue is due to be actioned, you will need to add it to a sprint. You can either add an issue to a future sprint, or to the sprint that is currently in progress (the active sprint).
To add an issue to a sprint,
- Log in to JIRA.
Click the Agile link's down-arrow in the top navigation bar, then select your preferred board from the resulting dropdown menu.
- Your board will be displayed. Click 'Plan'.
- Select the issue(s) (use Shift>Click or Ctrl>Click) and right-click, then select the relevant sprint (see screenshot below).
Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop individual issues onto the relevant sprint.
Note that adding an issue to an active sprint will be shown as a 'scope change' event on the Burndown Chart for that sprint.
