JIRA's Change Log report shows resolved issues in the last ten released versions of a project. Whereas the Road Map looks forward, the Change Log looks back, giving an overall view of issues resolved in recent versions.

If your administrator has hidden the 'Fix Version/s' field, the Change Log report will not be available.

To browse a project's Change Log,

  1. On the top navigation bar, click the white triangle next to Projects. The projects dropdown will display.
(tick) Tip: You can access your current project directly by simply clicking the Projects link instead of the triangle.
  2. Click the project you wish to browse. If the project is not displayed in the dropdown, click View All Projects, which allows you to view a list of all accessible projects on your JIRA site, and select your project from there.
  3. Click the 'Change Log' tab on the left of the page. The change log for your project will display (see screenshot below).

  1. I'm really confused by this article. As usual, the instructions do NOT match the UI. I cannot find the "fix for versions" field anywhere. AT ALL. There IS a field called "Fix Versions" and all of our projects are using this. I can't find the "Fix for Versions" field anywhere and without that field being enabled, the Change Log functionality apparently does not work.

So... chicken and egg being one and the same, HOW do I enable a field I can't find?

    1. Hi Sanjay Srikonda,

Apologies, the documentation should have stated the "Fix Version/s" field, not "Fix for Version". I've corrected that now. If you have this field unhidden, you should be able to see the Change Log.

      Thanks,

      Warren
