Symptoms

The Activity stream in JIRA displays commit messages with futuristic dates, such as from the year 2020 or even from just a few days in advance.

Cause

The DVCS connector was interrupted somehow during a sync.

Resolution

1. Go the Administration > Source Control > DVCS Accounts.
2. Find the repository with last commit in the future and click the Refresh icon.
3. Wait for the refresh to finish, your activity stream is now accurate again.
