Error Configuring Perforce Job Integration in JIRA
The original Perforce Plugin for JIRA is deprecated and has been superseded by the JIRA Fisheye Plugin. Perforce is supported by Atlassian Fisheye, providing comprehensive integration with JIRA including real-time notifications of code changes plus web-based reporting, visualisation, search and code sharing. Symptoms
The following error is logged in the JIRA logs when configuring the Perforce Job integration:
Caused by: java.io.IOException: Perforce client error:
Connect to server failed; check $P4PORT.
TCP connect to 127.0.0.1:1666 failed.
socket: 127.0.0.1:1666: WSAEPROVIDERFAILEDINITCause
The P4 client cannot connect to the server, this is often due to operation timing out.
Resolution
Increase the server timeout in the Perforce configuration in JIRA.
