Symptoms

When you have JIRA Gantt Chart Project plugin installed, you might notice that the issue keys for issues are being incorrectly incremented.

Diagnosis

You will notice that sequential issues does not have sequential numbers for issue keys. You can also notice that the value pcounter on project table is being improperly incremented.

Cause

This is caused by a bug on JIRA Gantt Chart Project plugin, for versions prior to 1.2.4.

Workaround

Disable JIRA Gantt Chart Project plugin and restart your instance.

Resolution

1. Upgrade the plugin to version 1.2.4 or greater (check compatibility with your JIRA version)
