Symptoms

In the logs you will see messages like this:

Diagnosis

When system plugin jira-help-tips is disabled, clicking in an issue at the Issue Navigator or commenting an issue shows the spinning wheel and it never closes until you refresh the page. Once you refresh, it will take you to the issue you clicked or add the comment.

Cause

It appears some dependencies malfunction when the system plugin is disabled. Note that this has been marked as "Wont Fix" in this bug report:  JRA-36865 - Getting issue details... STATUS . Because it's not recommended or supported to disable system plugins.

Workaround

Enable the system plugin jira-help-tips at the system manage add-ons.
