Symptoms

The following exception is thrown whilst, starting JIRA with subversion plugin

There was a problem loading the descriptor for module 'component' in plugin 'Subversion Plugin'. 
Error retrieving dependency of class: com.atlassian.jira.plugin.ext.subversion.MultipleSubversionRepositoryManagerImpl. Missing class: com/atlassian/jira/propertyset/JiraPropertySetFactory

Cause

The Subversion plugin being used is not compatible with JIRA version.

Resolution

1. Check the Subversion plugin compatibility matrix from the Plugin home page.
2. Replace the Subversion plugin with a compatible version.
