Symptoms

A Non-Working Day was set, but JIRA Agile recognized it as the day before the correct day. For instance, 04-JUL-2012 is entered, but 03-JUL-2012 is displayed as the Non-Working Day. Attempts to delete the Non-Working Day are not successful.

Cause

  • This is caused by a mismatch between the timezone selected by the user and the system time zone. More information about the cause of this issue can be found here.
  • The timezone would be different with the timezone in the server due to the JAVA JDK/JRE version used. For example in Yekaterinburg, in JAVA 6 update 26 it could be recognized as GMT+5 but in update 38 it is recognized as GMT+6.

Workaround

  • To work around this issue, change your timezone to System Default and complete all of your Non-Working Days adjustments.
  • Update JAVA to the latest update version if possible if the first workaround setting default timezone is not working.
