Upgrading ATST results in a RuntimeException thrown from TroubleshootingPluginReplacementService

Problem
When upgrading Atlassian Troubleshooting and Support Tools (ATST) from versions prior to 1.3 to a higher version, the following exception is logged in JIRA log file:

Caused by: org.eclipse.gemini.blueprint.service.importer.ServiceProxyDestroyedException: service proxy has been destroyed

...Cause
The ATST upgrade approach has been changed in version 1.3, therefore it is not listening for PluginEnabledEvent anymore, which results in the above exception.
Resolution
This exception can be safely ignored, as this is a spurious exception. It has no impact on the functionality.
