Programs

Programs give you a high-level view of your work, so you can efficiently keep track of the status and progress of your work items across multiple plans.

Go to the schedule view for a visual schedule of work across multiple plans, or the scope view to see work items in a comprehensive scope table.

Focus on the work items that matter

Filter the issues displayed in your program, so you can focus on the work that sets up your team for success. See Using program views for more information.

In schedule view...

  1. Filter by issue hierarchy
  2. Filter by plans
  3. Filter by releases
  4. Filter by issue key, summary
  5. Filter by completion date, scheduled range

In scope view...

  1. Filter by issue hierarchy
  2. Filter by plans
  3. Filter by releases
  4. Filter by issue key, summary
  5. Filter by completion date, scheduled range
  6. Sort issues
  7. Configure issue details

See issue details straight away

No need to bounce to JIRA just to view issue details. Just click an issue to access details, such as description, dependendencies, and more — all within the scope view of Portfolio. See Using program views for more information.

You can also navigate the issue hierarchy tree itself in the scope view. Expand an issue to display its child issues — even if the child issues come from different plans, projects, or agile boards.

Keep track of progress

Click the status breakdown bar to see the issues categorized by status, and how each child issue is progressing towards a higher-level work item.

The status breakdown includes the following details:

  • the number of issues completed and remaining
  • the percentage of work that's done
  • the issue progress in the familiar colors of statuses and progress in JIRA
