Create a team

We recommend you create a team if you want to limit access to certain users and declare shared settings.

  1. From Teams at the top, choose Create team.
  2. Enter a Team name. You'll see this name in the Bitbucket teams navigation, and your teammates will see the name in invitation emails.
  3. Enter a Team ID. Your ID can't have any spaces or special characters, but numbers and capital letters are fine. This ID becomes part of the URL for the team and anywhere else where there's a label that identifies the team.

  4. Add team members by entering their Bitbucket username or their email address, and click Add.

  5. (Optional) Check the Administrator checkbox for any other users that you want to be team admins. Bitbucket will automatically add you and any other admins to the Administrator user group, giving them permissions to update the team's settings, users, and repositories.
  6. Click Create.
