How you uninstall Hipchat Server depends on which of the following ways you deployed Hipchat Server:

• If you deployed an open archive image (OVA) on a virtual machine using VMware or VirtualBox, delete or remove the Hipchat Server virtual machine from VMware or VirtualBox. For instructions on deleting the virtual machine using VMware, see the VMware documentation. For instructions on removing the virtual machine from VirtualBox, see the VirtualBox documentation.
• If you deployed an Amazon machine image (AMI) on a virtual server in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud, terminate your AMI instance. You can find instructions in the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud User Guide for Linux and Windows.
