Hipchat Data Center is pleased to announce a mobile beta program for testing Hipchat Data Center-specific client apps on Android and iOS. (You can read more about the Beta program on our blog post.)

These apps will not be packaged with Hipchat Data Center binaries. To get them, you have to sign up for our Beta program, and download the apps using either the Google Play Store's Early access program on Android, or the Testflight beta app for iOS.

Wait, what?

Previous versions of the Hipchat client apps are compatible with Hipchat Cloud, and Hipchat Server and Data Center.

Since Stride is replacing Hipchat Cloud, the Cloud-compatible clients will not be updated, and all new client features will be released on the Hipchat Data Center clients only. The Hipchat Data Center-specific client applications work with Hipchat Data Center and Hipchat Server only. They cannot be used with Hipchat Cloud.

Here's what's going on in each release!

HCDC Mobile Version 1.0.0 - Dec 11th, 2017

Welcome to the very first Hipchat Data Center mobile Beta!

In this version, we've streamlined the login process: you no longer need to choose Hipchat Cloud or Hipchat Server, just type in your Hipchat URL and connect!

We've also added a fresh, clean new look and feel to your familiar Hipchat app, and made some improvements to some error messages while we were in there. We hope you enjoy it!
