Purpose

This page describes the necessary steps to setup MailChimp integration.

What you get

A room message for various list actions on MailChimp. This integration uses the webhooks feature of MailChimp.

The messages look like:

Setup

Before you begin: This integration requires the use of a Hipchat API notification token. You will be required to use this token when you configure the integration with MailChimp.   

1. Log into your MailChimp account
2. Navigate to your Lists and select the list you want to configure
3. Click on Settings > Webhooks then Create New Webhook

4. Insert the Callback URL below, replacing the <token> by the Hipchat token you created previously. Make sure to also replace the <room_id> by the ID of the room you want to receive notifications on. You can get a listing the rooms with their corresponding IDs here. 

   For Hipchat Server users, please use this URL:

   https://<fqdn>/v1/webhooks/mailchimp/?auth_token=<token>&room_id=<room_id>

5. Select what types of updates you want to receive and hit Save
