In Insight Version 2.4 we have improved the user experience and much more. Some examples are:

  • You can toggle between objects in the object type overview.
  • From the Object graph, you can go to the object details for the object that you are interested in.
  • You may enable Service Desk Customer Role for JIRA Service Desk 2.0 to be able to expose your assets via the customer portal.
  • You can import object references with name.
  • You can see Issue details within the JIRA Agile Issue Details view.
  • You are able to restrict a custom field to just show the object related to the logged in user. This is useful in service desks where you only want users to be able to choose their own assets.
If you are using JIRA Service Desk 2.0 and exposes Insight Custom Fields to Service Desk Customers you need to enable the Service Desk Customer role to the specific Object Schema described below:

To enable access to Service Desk Customers, a new Project Role in JIRA, you have to to go the configuration of the Object Schema that you want to expose. Select the "Enable" button and you are ready to go.
