Jira Align Custom Fields are not Displayed in Dependency Slide-out Panel

Solution

The dependency slide-out fields are tied to the Program Increment, which in turn is associated with a particular Portfolio.

A Program Increment can be utilized across multiple programs from various portfolios.

A a result, the Program Increment needs to be specifically linked to the relevant portfolio for the field to be accurately displayed in the dependency slide-out.

Follow the instructions below to correct or verify that the setup is correctly configured.

1. Navigate to the Program Increment tied to the dependency not displaying the custom fields displaying

2. Make sure the custom fields are really active for the portfolio in Settings > Details Panels settings.

3. Save and Close.

4. Go back to the Dependency slide-out, refresh the screen if needed, and verify that the custom field is available.
