When in planning board (Agile), is there a way to change the view so that the items are sorted by assigned resources?

Also, can the view be configured to add an assignee field when looking at Sprints or Backlog?

This would also be an important feature for us. We like to structure our meetings using the planning board (Agile) by going through each assignee. This is very hard to do without being able to see the assignee in the planning board. Am I missing somewhere where you can add a custom field to that page?

We have created quick filters for every team member, so we can filter on that person when he or she is talking.

Are the agile boards limited to a sub-set of issue types (i.e. Epic, Story, Bug)? sub-tasks do not seem to be allowed.

      Hi Roei,

The filter for your board may be filtering out sub-tasks. See Configuring Filters in the JIRA Agile documentation for more information.

      Kind Regards,
      Andrew

        Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the feedback, but the board filter is not ruling out sub-tasks. Could it be because these are sub-tasks of an Epic and not Story? I have a bunch of Epics that have sub-tasks (not using Story issue type)

Roei - An Epic parent issue, by design, is a collection of other parent issues. You should not use Subtasks under this issue type. Likely, this is why you're not seeing subtasks on the JIRA Agile board. Agile lets you associate n number of parent issues to an Epic.

How do I update the Watchers field from JIRA Agile? I really wish that I could just watch tickets from either Plan or Work view of Agile.

From JIRA Agile (formally Greenhopper), I think these will help you, Jeremy.

      1. Select the issue you want to watch on either the Plan or Work views, use the shortcut, "." to open the Operations dialog, and type "wat", then select Watchers from the list. Or, if you don't like the dot shortcut, click the ellipsis on the right hand pane (details view), and then select, More Actions, at the bottom of the list in the dropdown.
      2. To filter just issues that you are watching on a given Rapid board (errr, Agile board), use a quick filter. In the board configuration, use the following JQL: watcher = currentUser().

    Hi,

Just a quick question (I hope)

I've been asked to test JIRA and Agile addon under our Win 7 SOE. JIRA installed and configured fine however all i was given for Agile addon is a Zip file that contains pom.xml and src folders?

Question: How do I install the addon if it doesnt seem to be a jar or obr file?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Mark R

      Hi Mark,

The best way to install JIRA Agile via the Universal Plugin Manager in JIRA.  See these instructions: Managing Add-ons.

      Kind regards,
      Andrew

When I migrate the data from the old version JIRA to the new version JIRA,why the plugin Agile'data which exists in the old version JIRA can not see in the new JIRA? And how can I migrate the Agile's data between the old and new JIRA?

It's probably best if you raise a support request. Please include the JIRA and JIRA Agile versions in your ticket and the support team will be able to help you out.

      Kind regards,
      Andrew

How do I do member capacity planning in JIRA. When I'm planning a sprint, I want to know the team member's individual availability/loading. There is apparently no way to do this in JIRA Agile. Someone posted a topic about this using a pie chart here http://blogs.atlassian.com/2013/12/agile-capacity-planning/ but when I try to use the pie chart, its basing it on the "number of issues" and not on the sum of time remaining for each team member.

    Hello Folks:

In a recent upgrade to JIRA Data Center, the JIRA Agile seems to be incompatible. I get that message on the screen.

I am sure it is supported, but am unable to see any documentation for configuration, version mismatch. Can someone give me some assistance?

    Thanks

    Vishal
