Working in a project

If you've never used JIRA Core, here's a few of the basic functions that you will perform in a project.

Update your user profile

Add a profile picture, control notifications and keep track of assigned tasks.

Set up your dashboard and gadgets

You can set up dashboards, and share them with team members, so that everyone is viewing the same information on your projects and issues. You can also add gadgets to display stats and other useful information.

View a project

Getting to grips with how your project looks and is set up will help you work more effectively and efficiently.

Work with issues

Issues represent the work you and your team does. An issue can be a task, an idea, and item, a document, or anything else you want it to be.

See Working with issues

Search for issues

You can't work on issues if you can't find them. Work out the most effective way to search for issues and use the powerful advanced search function.

Monitor and report

If you are looking after a whole lot of work, you need to be able to monitor and report on progress effectively.
