Can't access site because it has reached its license limit
Platform Notice: Cloud - This article applies to Atlassian products on the cloud platform.
Summary
This article will explain why when trying to access a cloud URL, you get the message "You don't have access to yoursite.atlassian.net. Your email address email@domain.com doesn't have access because yoursite.atlassian.net has reached its license limit."
What causes this message?
This message is thrown in the following scenario:
- Your account uses an approved domain on the site you are trying to access.
- Approved domains grant users (from the domain) with pre-approved access to products.
- You are trying to access is for a product to which you don't have a license yet, but is pre-approved for you.
- For example, you are accessing yoursite.atlassian.net/jira but you don't have a Jira license assigned to your account.
- The site has reached the limit for licenses to the product you are trying to access, so you can't access the product.
Solution
Please reach out to your site administrator to reassign the current licenses or upgrade the number of licenses for the product.
Jira Service Management
If you are trying to access a help center, please make sure you are accessing the help center URL yoursite.atlassian.net/servicedesk (not yoursite.atlassian.net/jira)
