Symptom

The charts of Agile versions, e.g. Burndown Chart, are generated with unreadable font and out of axis range lines. It looks like this:

Cause

Since the fonts used by JIRA/Agile are mainly based on the font library in Oracle JDK, this problem can be seen when JIRA/Agile instance runs on a non-Oracle JDK, e.g. openjdk. It may cause the problem of JIRA/Agile font definition and mapping when generating charts.

Resolution

Migrate to Oracle JDK. See Installing Java.
