Symptoms

When selecting a date for a date field within JIRA, the chosen date does not match what is actually being stored.  Example screenshots:

Diagnosis

Date formats have been modified

Resolution

Revert the date/time changes for JIRA:

  1. Navigate to JIRA Administration > System > General Configuration
  2. At the bottom click on Advanced
  3. Check/revert the following settings:
    1. jira.date.picker.java.format
    2. jira.date.picker.javascript.format
