Email template changes in JIRA version 6.1 or newer

JIRA 6.1 introduced some new changes to the email templating system, namely:

  1. The default email templates are now ADG (Atlassian Design Guidelines)-compliant.
  2. Templates can now make use of a utility called Botocss, which allows CSS styling to be separated from the Velocity file.

If you have customised existing email templates (or created your own) prior to JIRA 6.1 and have upgrade to JIRA 6.1 or newer, you may want to take advantage of these new features, or alter your existing templates to be ADG compliant.
