Summary

The JSON exporter function is currently in BETA stage and therefore unsupported.

Purpose

This article will show you how to allow users to export issues in JSON format from the Issue Navigator. The JSON export functionality is disabled by default and so it has to be enabled manually from the Manage add-ons page.

Solution

  • Log in to an account with either JIRA Administrators or JIRA System Administrators Global Permission

  • Navigate to the Manage add-ons page (or use the keyboard shortcut 'g+g')

  • Change the Filter to include All add-ons

  • Locate JIRA Importers Plugin (JIM) (or jira-importers-plugin) and click to expand

  • Expand to show a list of all modules

  • Enable the 2 modules needed to enable JSON export (the names of the modules might differ depending on versions)
