Purpose

To hide the Knowledge-base Menu section displayed on Project Navigation sidebars of Service Management projects, especially if you're not using Confluence or have no intention of integrating your ServiceDesk with a Knowledge-base.

Solution

Prior to Version 3.0

Disable the knowledgebase-issueview-panel module from Manage Add-ons page (tested only on Service Management versions 2.5.9).

  • Navigate through Administration Menu > Add-ons > Manage Add-ons. Find the Jira Service Management add-on.
  • Expand the modules of the add-on and look for the sd-project-settings-kb module. Disable this module.

Version 3.0 or later

Disable the knowledgebase-issueview-panel module from Manage Add-ons page.

  • Navigate through Administration Menu > Add-ons > Manage Add-ons. Find the Service Management Knowledge Base Plugin add-on.
  • Expand the modules of the add-on and look for the knowledgebase-issueview-panel module. Disable this module.
