Image attached to a page in Confluence space is not visible to customers in KB articles when added in the footer

Summary

To add an image in the footer of a Confluence space, if the image file is attached to a page in the same space, the syntax as per the article: Confluence Wiki Markup - Images is :

!pageTitle^image.gif!

However, these images appear as broken to users having customer accounts when the KB article is viewed from the customer portal but are visible to users having licensed accounts.

Diagnosis

Add the image to the footer under Look and Feel option under the Space Settings as per the syntax:

  • The footer image is visible in Confluence for all Licensed users.

  • The footer Image is broken for customers in JSM Customer Portal.

Solution

To solve this, define the alignment/size attributes for the Footer image under Look and Feel as follows:
