'IO Exception occurred while trying to load settings' when Executing config.sh or config.bat
Symptoms
when running the database configuration tool config.sh or config.bat, the error message appears:
IO Exception occurred while trying to load settings"
No errors are logged in atlassian-jira.log.
Unknown macro: {align}
Cause
The file entityengine.xml was copied from another JIRA version.
Resolution
Use the original entityengine.xml of the existing version. Don't copy the entire file from other JIRA instances. Instead, copy small text selections of this file.
