JIRA Cloud Commits in JIRA Issues Not Showing Up
Symptoms
Developer commits from Bitbucket or Github but commit messages are not showing in JIRA issues.
Cause
- The email address cannot be found in JIRA (needs to match the email address defined in Git or Mercurial).
- The email address is not configured in Git or Mercurial (needs to match the email address defined in JIRA).
- User doesn't have permission to log work.
- User doesn't have permission to view development tools.
- The DVCS connector failed to sync your repo(s). Check - DCON-211Getting issue details... STATUS and - DCON-437Getting issue details... STATUS .
Resolution
- Define the email address in JIRA to match the email address defined in .gitconfig or .hgrc.
- User should configure an email address in .hgrc or .gitconfig that matches the email address defined in JIRA
- Grant user permission to log work in JIRA.
- Grant user permission to view development tools.
- Submit a report request so that support can check your JIRA log to pinpoint the exact root cause (which may or may not be related to - DCON-437Getting issue details... STATUS and - DCON-211Getting issue details... STATUS ) .
