Problem

After upgrading JIRA (eg:7.0.0 to 7.0.4), the footer of the JIRA page will still show different version (eg:7.0.0).

 

Diagnosis

Environment

  • JIRA 7
  • JIRA Version (found in system info > Jira Info section)
    System Information page provides you with detailed information about your system configuration. JIRA info in this page is referring to the version of JIRA you are running. as stated in this Viewing your system information document.
  • JIRA Software Version (Found in version & license page)
    Versions & licenses page is for view and manage your JIRA application licenses as stated in the Licensing your JIRA applications page.The Jira versions in this page is referring to the Jira Software license version and Jira Core license version respectively.

Resolution

The footer in the JIRA page is referring to the Jira Core version.
