Problem

After upgrade of Jira Software the page Administration>>Manage Apps>> Manage Apps  fails to render and appears blank.

Checking on the atlassian-jira.log you will find the following

It was loaded from /var/atlassian/jira/shared-home/plugins/installed-plugins/jira-software-application-7.6.8.jart was loaded from /var/atlassian/jira/shared-home/plugins/installed-plugins/jira-software-application-7.6.8.jar 'com.pyxis.greenhopper.jira' - 'JIRA Agile' failed to load. Cannot start plugin: com.pyxis.greenhopper.jira Unresolved constraint in bundle com.pyxis.greenhopper.jira [183]: Unable to resolve 183.0: missing requirement [183.0] osgi.wiring.package; (osgi.wiring.package=com.atlassian.upm.api.license) [caused by: Unable to resolve 171.0: missing requirement [171.0] osgi.wiring.package; (osgi.wiring.package=io.atlassian.util.concurrent)]

Resolution

To fix this situation the following steps need to be followed:

  • Stop Jira
  • validate that only the current version plugins and Jira software/core are installed in /shared/home
  • Validate the permission (Linux / Windows) on the shared-home and local home as well as the installation directory of each node.
  • Start Jira
