JIRA Setup Wizard Fails with Errors on Licence Key Setup Page

Users may get stuck on the Specify Your Licence Key page in the Setup Wizard of a new installation of JIRA (5.2.11 and above).  Some of the reported errors include:

  • Selecting a radio button not updating the page
  • CSS appearing broken on the page
  • Javascript errors on the page



Some users have had success with the following:

  • Refreshing the internet browser page
  • Clearing internet browser cache
  • Rerunning the setup wizard in another internet browser (see Running the Setup Wizard)
  • Restarting JIRA (in some cases, multiple times)
