On December 10, 2016, Atlassian Cloud removed support for WebDAV directories in JIRA Cloud applications. You can now directly upload JIRA backup files into your Cloud site and download generated export files. As a result of these changes to the import process, if you have configured automated backups for your JIRA Cloud site using WebDAV, you will need to update your scripts to continue downloading your export files.

See below for more information:

Individual imports

You no longer need to upload files to WebDAV and can instead upload them directly through the administration section of your JIRA Cloud site.

As part of this process, we have changed the way partial files can be uploaded. Previously, you uploaded a backup file to WebDAV and then selected which parts of the file should be imported (e.g. JIRA data, attachments, avatars, logos). Today, you must remove these directories from your backup file before uploading them to JIRA Cloud.

Check out the JIRA Cloud import documentation for more information.

Automated exports for backing up your data

We have also made changes to the automatic-cloud-backup script from Atlassian Labs, which worked with a private API to create and download automatic backup files.

To continue creating automatic backups, download the updated script from Bitbucket.
