Problem

After upgrading from Jira Service Management 3.1.9 to 3.1.10 the version of Jira Service Management in the footer and other UI elements is still 3.1.9.

Diagnosis

Environment

  • Jira Core 7.1.9
  • Jira Service Management 3.1.9 upgraded to 3.1.10

Diagnostic Steps

  • Upgrade Jira Service Management from 3.1.9 to 3.1.10
  • Open up any customer portal and check the footer text.

Cause

Jira Service Management 3.1.10 was a security vulnerability fix as acknowledge in the release notes.  This minor fix did not affect every component of Jira Service Management and it appears that UI templates and versions were not updated to display the new version 3.1.10.

Resolution

This is not an issue with functionality in Jira Service Management.  The only affect is the displayed version number.  Administrators can confirm the version of Jira Service Management installed in Administration -> Applications if required.
