Diagnosis

  1. User can check in their source Cloud instance to see whether there is any post-function from third party add-on associated to "Create" transition.
  2. Check from the post-function used by affected project in Server instance to whether there is any post-function from third party add-on associated to "Create" transition.

Cause

JIRA Cloud provides JIRA Misc Workflow Extension by default. It's possible there's compatibility issue which cause JIRA to not recognise the post-function from Cloud instance.

Workaround

  • Open the workflow which used with your affected project.
  • Ensure that you are in Edit mode. You can click on 'Edit" button on top right to edit the workflow.
  • Switch to a "Diagram" view and you'll see a "Create" transition which goes to the "To Do - Next" status.
  • Click on the "Create" transition and open the "Post-function".
  • Remove the additional post-function provided by third party add-on
  • Publish the workflow and try to create issue in your affected project.
