Unknown field type in Jira Cloud

Summary

When accessing the Cog icon > Issues > Custom fields, we can see and create several types of fields, but some fields show as Unknown.

Through this documentation, we will understand what are they and how they are created.

Unknown fields

The type of field that appears as "? Unknown" may give the impression that something is wrong, that the field is corrupted, or that Jira has a defect, however, this isn't the case.

These fields are created based on integration with Atlassian products or third-party apps.

Even when displayed as Unknown, some of them can be used normally, while others can't be utilized on screens and are intended for viewing purposes.
