Summary

Automation returns the following error while creating an issue in a different project:

Could not find create meta data for project/typeId

Environment

Jira Cloud

Automation for Jira

Cause

The Automation rule action i.e. Create Issue action was configured to use the same issue type as the trigger issue. 

Solution

The error occurs because the trigger issue is from a different project, than the destination project which is a Team-Managed, the issue type is tied to each one individually.

Instead of selecting the same issue type option, you must define the issue type this issue should have.
