To edit your user profile,
- Click on the 'Profile' link located below the breadcrumbs at the top of the page.
- Click on the 'Edit Tab'. Enter details about yourself in the form that is displayed.
- Full Name - enter your full name.
- Email - specify your email address.
- *Site Homepage - select menu allows a user to determine their 'default' page when visiting Confluence via its base URL (see above).
- Profile Picture - include an image in your profile using the browse option to upload the file. This file can then be referenced in the profile description using regular Confluence markup. For example, if you uploaded an image called 'MyPhotograph.jpg', including this markup in the '*Information about me' text box will display the photo in the 'View' tab of your user profile:
!MyPhotograph.jpg!
in your profile description will display the photo in the
markup in order to have it appear in your profile description.
Attachments for profiles is a new Confluence 1.4 feature.
5. The 'Information about me' section allows a user to set their profile description. This usually contains information about their role in the organisation using Confluence.
Note - Confluence administrators can configure Confluence so that it masks email addresses (e.g. 'exampleUser at atlassian dot com'), protecting it from search engine spiders and the like.
