Summary

Environment

Jira Cloud

Solution

Currently, the list of available fields in the "All Issues" section do not contain a field that will display the reporter's email which is why we would need to utilize the Google Sheets for Jira Cloud. To perform a successful export with the email of the reporter, you will need to perform the below steps:

  • Navigate to the "View All Issues" Section.
  • Select the Apps Option. From the dropdown, select the "Open In Google Sheets" option.
  • You will need to provide the required permission by selecting the Allow option.
  • Once the spreadsheet is displayed, Navigate to the Extensions dropdown and select the Jira Cloud for Sheets option and Open.
  • The Jira Cloud for Sheets pop up will be displayed on the right side of the spreadsheet. Select the relevant site and the option to "Get Issues from Jira"
  • Navigate to Fields section and select the Edit option. Once the list of fields is displayed, search for creator.emailAddress and select the field.
  • Save the fields and select the "Get Issues Now" option. Once the option is selected the reporter's email will be displayed in the spreadsheet in the column selected above.
  • You can now proceed to perform the export of the spreadsheet that contains the reporter's email address.
