Problem

  • Confluence is using all available CPU and pages take long time to load due to long Lucene queries.
  • Indexes are getting out of sync with the database.
  • The following error appears in the logs:
Plugin module confluence.extra.calendar:calendarpluginextractor is incompatible with this version of Confluence. You will need to upgrade to a newer version of the Calendar Plugin plugin. java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org/apache/lucene/document/Document.add(Lorg/apache/lucene/document/Field;)V
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org/apache/lucene/document/Document.add(Lorg/apache/lucene/document/Field;)V

Cause

The Calendar plugin is incompatible with the Lucene library in Confluence and the index searches take a long time to complete. See CAL-230.

Resolution

Disable the extractor module in the Calendar plugin or the plugin itself.
