Documentation for GreenHopper 6.2.x. Documentation for earlier versions of GreenHopper is [available too].

An issue in GreenHopper is just a representation of a JIRA issue. However, the way that you can interact with these issues is significantly different.

This manual contains information on how to use GreenHopper:

Question.  How does GreenHopper deal with a story slipping from one iteration to the next?

If you move the story from one iteration to the next it seems like you mess up the metrics for the previous iteration.  If you make a copy of that story and add it to the next iteration it seems like mess up the metrics for the whole release (the total hours and story points get inflated).

    Thanks

Was there any resolution to this question? (because I also wonder about and encounter this!)

      1. Hello,

Please keep an eye on GHS-1247 for better support of carrying on work across sprints.

        Thank you.

  2. I don't want all my JIRA issues to be considered as part of a backlog in Greenhopper. Is there any way to do it? I used filtering for handling a number of issues but whenever I finish a Sprint ALL the issues in JIRA are taken to be part of the backlog. I want to handle it this way because I have hig level requirements as issues but I don't want those to be part of the backlog.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Aitor

    1. Hi Aitor,

Did you change the filter used by the board to exclude those issues?

For the high level requirements you may wish to use Epics. Epics will show up on the Plan mode of a Scrum board, and you can mark them as Done when they are completed.

      Thanks Aitor,

why are there no column labels in Jira? i thought that would been a given to be more user-friendly.

    1. Hello,

There are column labels in JIRA, you can find out more on this page: Using GreenHopper Simplified Workflow.

      Thank you,
