Background

The Genuine Atlassian User Group program is an invitation to you, our customers, to run your own Atlassian User Groups (AUG) with some pretty sweet benefits and a helping hand from us.

We think of a user group as a short (2-3 hours), recurring (at least a few times a year) meet up of Atlassian users in one region. Like your favorite Java User Group, Agile User Group, or Open Source User Group, an AUG is there to network, learn from peers and have some fun! After doing this for a while now, we've gathered some pretty good information about what works and what doesn't. We've written an AUG cookbook with a few recipes for "whipping up" a terrific user group.

How does it work?
  • User groups will be primarily run and organized by users with promotional support from Atlassian
  • User groups can happen in any city in the world
  • Each user group will have one organizer and will meet regularly (at least once a quarter)
  • Atlassian staff may or may not attend. When possible we will try to send an Atlassian to a meet-up here or there. However, we won't be able to come to every meeting in every city.

Browse this Confluence space for more information about meet-ups that are already happening or resources to start your own.
