When connection pooling is enabled, the LDAP directory server maintains a pool of connections and assigns them as needed. When a connection is closed, the directory server returns the connection to the pool for future use. This can improve performance significantly. These settings are system wide and will be used to create a new connection pool for every configured LDAP directory server.
