Bonfire makes it super easy and fast for you to create comprehensive issues straight to JIRA, without ever leaving your web application.

Creating the issue

Creating an issue is done under the "Create Issue" tab in the Bonfire browser extension. As you select the project and the issue type, Bonfire will update the issue creation form to reflect the same fields that are available in JIRA's create issue web interface.

You can create issues faster by using Templates and Variables to pre-fill information.

Attaching a screenshot to the issue

Bonfire allows you to attach to the issue a screenshot of the web application you are currently on.

Once attached, the create issue form will also show a live thumbnail preview of what the screenshot will look like. When a screenshot is attached, the right hand panel of your browser window becomes your screenshot annotation tool.

To remove the screenshot, click on the "Screenshot Attached" again.

Annotations

Annotations are only available when you have selected to attach a screenshot to the current issue. Bonfire provides you a range of annotation tools to mark up your screenshot. When the issue is created, the final annotated screenshot will be attached.
