At the release of JIRA 6.1, due in the second half of 2013, we are ending support for CVS/ViewCVS. Also, all functionality related to CVS/ViewCVS will be removed from JIRA.

You can stay on older versions of JIRA to support your existing CVS/ViewCVS integration. We will also make an unsupported open source add-on available for JIRA CVS integration. However, Atlassian will no longer fix bugs related to CVS/ViewCVS past the support end date. For more details about the announcement, please refer to this page: End of Support Announcements for JIRA.
