Symptoms

Upon upgrade to JIRA Agile 6.3.0.1, the instance were not able to complete a specific upgrade task - GhUpgradeTask037. The following error appears in the atlassian-jira.log

Cause

The NPE was being thrown because the upgrade task not being able to be completed because workflow description is blank. This is a bug that currently being tracked below:

Resolution

A revised version of the upgrade task was implemented. Upgrade to JIRA Agile 6.3.0.2 instead.
