The Bitbucket 4.5 changelog is at the bottom of this page.
Support for Git LFS in combination with Smart Mirroring
Smart Mirroring (available in Data Center) lets remote teams sync Git repos sync to a local server to improve clone and fetch performance.
Git Large File Support (LFS) lets teams store large binary files in a way that avoids the performance penalty that comes with storing them directly in Git.
Both are new features that solve slightly different scale problems, and now you can get the best of both, with local speed benefits of mirrored repositories and the time saving of only downloading the Git LFS data that you need.
More improvements to branch permissions
With Bitbucket Server 4.5 you can create exceptions to branch permission patterns from within the application. This can be useful to allow certain users or CI servers to apply updates to a branch directly, while still requiring other developers to use a pull request.
This section will contain information about the Bitbucket Server 4.5 minor releases as they become available. These releases will be free to all customers with active Bitbucket Server software maintenance.
If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Stash, check the Bitbucket Server upgrade guide.
