You need to use the Collector (optional) if you are using multiple Instances of Insight Discovery or if you need to transfer the Result-Data through different network segments (as shown in this Picture).

Setting up the Collector:

Extract the Discovery Package on your System that should run the Tool. 

(e.g. C:\Program Files)


Start a Command Prompt and move to the extracted Discovery-Folder.

Run the Command Prompt with Administrator Privileges.

This will be required to write into the destination Folder if you choose "C:\Program File" or it will be needed to install the Collector-Tool as a Service.


First you can display the available Commands with "Collector -?"

Run "Collector -s" to configure the Collector-Tool Settings.
