New users can only be added if they already exist in the external directory. Your external directory will not be modified.
If you have enabled 'auto-add' for your external directory, users who don't exist locally will be automatically added the first time they log in to Crucible.
To add a new user:
In the Admin area, click Users under 'User Settings'.
Click the 'Add User' button at the bottom of the screen.
The 'Add new user' screen will be displayed.
In the 'Username' field, type the user's login name. You can use the following characters:
letters and numbers
hyphen ('-')
underscore ('_')
'at' sign ('@')
In the 'Display name' field, type the user's display-name.
(Optional) In the 'Email' field, type the user's email address. This address is where the user will receive notifications.
In the 'Auth Type' field, select either 'Built-in' or the name of the appropriate external directory where the user will be stored.
(For built-in users only) In the 'Password' and 'Confirm Password' fields, type the user's password. The user can easily change their own password later.
