A template is a predefined page that can be used as a prototype when creating new pages. Templates are useful for giving pages a common style or format. This page is about deleting an existing template, at space level or at site (global) level. Templates are used only when adding a page. Once a page has been added, the template is no longer linked to the page. You can therefore remove the template without affecting any existing pages. You need to be a space administrator to remove a space template, and you need Confluence Administrator permissions to remove a global template. Note: Deleted templates cannot be restored. |
