What happens when the included maintenance ends?

All self-hosted licenses are perpetual, meaning the product will continue to operate the same way as it does before and after the maintenance period expires.

After the first 12 months, your software maintenance will expire and you will no longer be able to receive technical support or software updates. Renewing your software maintenance is done purely at your discretion and can be renewed in advance of your maintenance expiration to ensure uninterrupted access to support and software updates.

Please note: Maintenance renewals for self-hosted licenses commence from the date the previous maintenance period expires, regardless of when the maintenance renewal was purchased.

For Cloud subscriptions, maintenance renewals are required for the site to remain active. Cloud subscriptions that renew monthly will continue to renew until canceled manually via the Primary Billing Contact's My.Atlassian account. Cloud subscriptions paid annually may be set up for automatic renewals or manual renewals. If opting for manual renewals, a renewal quote will be sent to the Billing Contacts on file prior to the site's expiration for payment.
