Custom field value empty after committing change in Advanced Roadmaps

Problem
After committing a change to a custom field value in Portfolio, the value of the field is removed in Portfolio. The value is properly reflected in the issue in Jira.
Cause
The custom field is not searchable.
Resolution
Configure the custom field so that it is searchable by doing the following:
- Select the cog icon > Issues > Custom Fields.
- Locate the custom field and click cog icon > Edit.
- Select Free Text Searcher in the Search template drop-down box.
- Re-index the project (Project Settings > Re-Index Project).
